Care(less). On invisibility

26 June 2021

The performative event in public space will refer to architectures of care, including: Wash houses (1846), 28 Old Castle Street, also former Fawcett Library. This is one of three events taking place in London during the festival, to bring to our attention forgotten histories. In each location the memory of the laundry worker guides us to uncover hidden or invisible histories, through engaging with architectural traces of their workplaces: the washhouse, the laundry, the asylum.
