Discover the inventive and varied ventilation shafts of the City on a walking tour led by Our Hut.
We'll start outside the north ticket hall of Blackfriars Station, on the corner of the A201 and Blackfriars Passage EC4 2BB and it will finish at Bank station. From there we'll wind our way, vent by intriguing vent, via St Paul's and the Barbican to the veritable cluster of shafts at Bank.
This walking tour of around 3 miles led by Our Hut stems from a project called Inventive Vents and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund which aims to broaden understanding and appreciation of London’s below ground workings – transport, services and sewerage and the need for ventilation. Please wear comfy shoes and there will be some steps on the way.
