The Bake: Liberty
"I chose to bake the Liberty building because I love how the mock Tudor timber framing and regular gables create a uniform facade, contrasting the ever changing department store inside. It is well known for its extravagant art and fabrics, so I wanted to recreate this contrast in my bake. I created a facade out of gingerbread and black piping to cover a cake that would reveal a bright pattern inside when cut into, reminiscent of the iconic Liberty fabric patterns."
