The City Canvas: Colour with Care

08 June 2021

11:30 -12:30

Legibility is a key principle of urban design and crucial to the human experience of ‘place’.

In this webinar, Axalta will explore how using colour in architectural design can enhance our understanding of a place, by bringing order, comfort and identity to an urban environment which helps build a relationship of care and respect between buildings and their users.

Our panel will offer different perspectives on urban design architecture and colour.

Speakers:

Harbinder Singh Birdi, Partner at Hawkins\Brown

Widely regarded as an expert in major engineering-led civic projects, Harbinder leads the Hawkins\Brown Infrastructure and Transport team, providing design leadership on all projects within the sector.

He is a chartered architect and a member of the previous Architects’ Journal 40 under 40 list. He is a fellow of several esteemed organisations, including the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Institution of Civil Engineers, in recognition of his ongoing mentorship of new talent in architecture, and for his expertise in the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
