We will explore how the diverse cultures of ‘green guerillas’ and community champions can work effectively with the built environment profession and local authorities. What kinds of structures are needed to support and promote more experimental initiatives and create genuinely sustainable green spaces?
LFA linked event: Traffic Island Garden site visit Saturday 19th June 2021. Overlooked by C19th, high-density dwellings of Notting Hill' a neglected traffic Island has been co-opted and transformed into garden and now supports an informal culture of care and social exchange.
