A Small Bat Pack Presentation

15 June 2021

10:00 -11:00

We care about biodiversity and about bats. They’ve taken a hit and have a bad reputation! But bats are bio-indicators that help us measure the wellbeing of our environment.

Together with urban bat ecologist Joanna Ferguson, we will host a Zoom event to present A Small Bat Pack, which is a new project we have developed to increase bat activity within residential gardens and pockets of green public spaces. By making simple design changes, we show how you can increase bat activity within your garden, and contribute to a healthier habitat.

The project aims to increase awareness of how bats play a significant role in sustaining a healthy environment and are used as bio-indicators. We will show basic landscape and urban design guidelines for bats and biodiversity, and present the ‘bat pack’ bag, which is a starter kit for any terrace, garden, street, or green pocket in an urban setting.
