Alastair Philip Wiper's photographs highlight the complexity of mass production and consumerism and its intricate relationship with the environment. Join us for this intimate digital discussion led by Thames&Hudson Commissioning Editor Andrew Sanigar to take a closer look at the subject and context of his large-scale works.
Wiper's work captures the superhuman scale and eccentric nature of the processes, machinery and buildings involved in contemporary industrial production and scientific research. Shot around and inside global operational factories and labs, his immaculately composed photographs present a rigorous analysis of industrial forms and processes. Wiper has been commissioned by architectural and design magazines such as Blueprint, Wallpaper, Icon, Vice, Domus, Wired, the Telegraph and the Guardian.
