By Nathan Ward
This Smeg window display celebrates the architectural environment behind the innovative Italian appliances manufacturer. Smeg and London based paper artist Nathan Ward have teamed up to take you on a journey from the brands founding home in Guastalla near Reggio Emilia in the north of Italy, to here in its Regent Street flagship store. This window tells a truly Italian story.
This installation was made for Smeg as part of the Showroom Showcase. This year’s London Festival of Architecture sees some of London’s most respected design brands offering up the windows of their showrooms to showcase the work of London’s best emerging architects and designers. The London Festival of Architecture invited emerging architects and designers to create unique architectural installations made of paper, to be installed in those showrooms across London throughout the LFA public events programme in June.
