Welcome to Vauxhall Crossing

‘Welcome to Vauxhall Crossing’ takes inspiration from popular video games and the area’s rich heritage to create a community celebration for Vauxhall’s young people. It is a chance to come together in a Covid-secure way and build shared experiences through an exciting and memorable creative activity.

During the event a portion of the Garden will become our ‘village’, containing a checkerboard of 'islands'. Each island will contain a bespoke selection of ‘building blocks’, inviting young people to explore and play with the creation of forms, spaces and architecture on their island. They will be given a brief to respond to which will reference wider conversations being facilitated by VX1 across Vauxhall with regards to its future objectives and plans.

A digital version of the event will be created, utilising an online sandbox to allow young people who cannot attend the event to have the opportunity to participate.
