What makes the LFA unique is our Open Call, where anyone with a passion for architecture and a good idea can propose an event for the festival. We’ve worked hard to reduce the barrier to entry for artists, emerging architects and community groups and others to be able to submit events to the festival for free. We work hard throughout the year to upskill new event organisers to help them deliver the best possible events. We’re delighted to see many companies develop, propose and stage high quality events as part of the festival. If done well, this can help to both contribute to the festival programme and raise the profile of your business and allow you to reach new clients. But of course it’s not free for us to stage a festival. Therefore where a commercial organisation or venue proposes an event through our open call, we will ask them to submit their event as a part of our Professional Event programme.

- Your event will be accepted into the festival if it meets the LFA event criteria.

- We will provide a package of merchandise and branding – including window vinyls, banner and tote bags, helping you to identify your venue as participating in the LFA.

- Your event will receive enhanced social media promotion

- Your LFA website listing will benefit from an enhanced event template, enabling you to share more information about your company on the LFA website, including logo.

- Where the LFA is able to stage key events, (e.g. Opening Party, Theme Launch, Programme Launch) in a covid- secure way, you will receive priority tickets for you or your staff.
The Professional Event programme is aimed at businesses that have ready-made event proposals. Where a business needs enhanced curatorial support to conceive and develop events as part of the festival, you might like to consider our Benefactors Programme, or take part in our Showroom Showcase.
