The Bake: Maggie's West London Centre
"My version of Maggies Cancer Centre West London is made of carrot cake, cherry chocolate brownie, sugar cookies and icing. The cookie crumb coating the carrot cake was achieved by shaving my cookies with a zester when I needed to straighten edges. It's 100% edible - aside from the board it's standing on. It even has a poured "concrete" floor made of grey icing."
"I don't have any videos of me actually baking, just photos - as a one person team (and having had my COVID jab this weekend, so working with one dead arm) photos were easier!"
"This was a real challenge to balance the open structure and suspended roof, while still showing off the roof terraces and indoor garden spaces. Emergency espresso martinis needed when it got a bit too stressful."
